BISO is essentially a movement path.
Think of it like a River Delta, a nutrient rich landscape pooled into from several practices and traditions including conscious movement, meditation, shamanism, bodyspirit – the intelligence of the living anatomy – therapeutic modalities and the arts. There are six movement portals to enter
Midline on the vertical and horizontal, Acceptance, Release, Ground, Rising & Falling en Center, emotional maps to follow, invitations and enquiries through the moving body to listen to. We work with the FABRR’s Method; focus, breath, rhythm, movement, space and time. There are simple rituals to engage in, creative and imaginative journeys to take.
I like to think of BISO as the Art of Becoming.
The Art of Becoming is an attunement to the nature of existence, where everything is constantly moving and fluctuating.
Everything is in a state of change and transformation, a place of motion. We also are movement, and like music, like a dance, we have so many possibilities of being, so many shapes and notes.
Becoming is not a linear process, not something to achieve outside of ourselves or to radically change who we are, it’s the unfolding of who we are, our true nature. BISO’s main path is through the intelligence of the body, community and the joy of music and movement. The notes of the music that we are awakens the cool, delicious, hot shock of being alive…
