Mask, Antwerp

On this Open Floor, Art In Motion weekend we will work with the mystery and magic of pure presence and the stories and impulses that arise from our collective field.

We will work with Neutral Mask, a simple expressionless white mask that invites the mover to experience a state of pure and physical presence, calmness and openness to space. A state where we can access archetypal stories and truths, open into a multi-dimensional web of connection, story-telling and witnessing.

In each of us there plays an interweaving tapestry of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states.

Moving and playing with neutral mask can open up a chance to sense and move into these dimensions beyond our regular habits of movement and facial expressions.
Allowing ourselves through, to move, witness and be witnessed. In so doing, opening to a deep state of listening, presence and creativity, awake and ready for being.

Absolutely no experience of mask work required and there will be plenty of dancing! We will embody, play and move with the Open Floor movement resources and the 4 hungers and dimensions of embodiment.

Friday Evening is optional but the workshop material is part of the Friday, you will miss a key piece if you choose to come from Saturday.
